Asisebenze Art Atelier will be hosting its annual Open Studio on Sunday 29 October. As the name suggests, our doors and the studios of our artists will be open for you visit between 10am and 5pm.

Join us at our iconic studios at 28 Plein Street, Johannesburg where we have safe parking for more than 100 cars.

Our artists will be opening their studios across the six floors of the building, giving you ample opportunity to discover new works and engage with the artists. Artworks will be for sale on the day at special studio prices that you won’t see in the galleries.

You are welcome to roam the gallery and studios at your own pace, although our curator Nolan Stevens will be leading hour-long guided tours. Please do join him to gain fresh insights into the artists and their work. We will have a kiddies creative corner where art supplies and materials will be available for them to expand their creative minds.

The highlight of the day will be the lucky draw and prize giveaway that was open to the first 50 people who registered for the event.

We are giving away this stunning 70x72cm canvas artwork by Siphamandla EX Kino titled Ambivalence of black childhood that is valued at R12,000!

The winner will be chosen by lucky draw during the Open Studio event on 29 October at 12:00. To be eligible to win you must be among the first 50 registrations, and you must be present on the day when the draw is made. 

Attending the Asisebenze Art Atelier Open Studio 2023 is free of charge, although we do ask that you please REGISTER ONLINE TODAY so that we can plan accordingly.
