On 4 December 2022, the Johannesburg arts landscape witnessed a historic moment with Asisebenze Art Atelier (AAA) making its debut at the Open Studios Joburg event. This vibrant event, which had been creating a buzz in the art circles and on social media, was the ideal moment for Asisebenze to announce its arrival as a fresh and dynamic art hub in the heart of Johannesburg CBD.

As the day unfolded, the anticipation turned into a palpable excitement with people arriving well before the 10am start. The event catered to all age groups, with a special Kids Art Corner where young artists could unleash their creativity, while adults explored the rich tapestry of art spread across five floors and a rooftop filled with studio spaces.
