See Me Twice

The group exhibition, "See Me Twice," hosted at Nelson Mandela Square's prestigious Artyli Gallery, was a showcasing of Asisebenze Art Atelier's artists as well as other talented creators in a dynamic collision of figuration and abstraction.

This exhibition featured emotive abstract works and transcendent figurative pieces. The creations from each artistic mode addressed socio-political, economic, and global themes, covering a wide range of topics including identity, culture, and hope.

Whether through the more accessible figurative artwork, which presented various aspects of the human condition, or through the challenging works of abstraction that explored the human experience on a more cerebral and emotive level, "See Me Twice" offers a profound double take on what it means to experience life in human form.

The juxtaposition of these two styles encourages viewers to engage with the artworks on multiple levels, inviting them to see and interpret the pieces more than once, hence the exhibition’s title. The combination of different artistic expressions creates a rich tapestry that highlights the diversity and complexity of human experience, making "See Me Twice" a thought-provoking and immersive exhibition.
