Asisebenze Art Atelier (AAA) is thrilled to be taking part in Contra Fair Joburg 2024, which is being held over the weekend of 25 & 26 May. This is our third time taking part in what was previously known as Open Studios Joburg.
The concept is simple: 13 studios and art spaces located in the Joburg CBD open their doors to the public for two days. Art lovers get to meet the artists in their own environment while being exposed to artists and artworks they might not have know of otherwise.
This is a unique opportunity to see the city and revel in the energy generated by the creativity that lies within. Best of all, the hop-on-hop-off shuttles mean you can travel from art space to art space without the hassle of navigating, driving or parking. View the shuttle routes for Saturday and Sunday.
AAA's studio doors will all be open on the Sunday 26 May from 10am – 5pm.
Our artists have gone to extreme lengths to ensure that your experience at AAA is both thrilling and rewarding.
Each of the more than 20 studios over 6 floors will be open to the public, where you can view and even buy artworks that catch your fancy.
We have safe, underground parking in the building (entrance at 76 Joubert Street) and have set up a kiddies art area where they can explore their artistic talents or enjoy a face-painting session.
To add even more excitement to the day, AAA is hosting a free raffle open to all visitors who are in the building at the time of the draw. The winner, chosen by lucky draw, can win one of these wonderful works:
