Asisebenze Art Atelier wrapped up 2024 with a vibrant Open Studio event on Sunday, 3 November, leaving attendees inspired and eager for more. This exclusive experience offered a rare look into the inner workings of our resident artists’ studios, showcasing their creative processes, inspirations, and the stories behind their gallery displays.
From 10am, visitors flowed through Asi’s lively spaces, with each turn offering a new discovery. Among the highlights was the Kiddie Art Corner, a hub of energy and creativity, where young artists explored bold abstract painting and expressive finger-painting. Even adults couldn’t resist the charm of the face painting station, adding playful colour to the day.
The outdoor balcony became a serene retreat, transformed into a space for relaxation and refreshment with stunning views and delicious local fare. Inside, the solo exhibition Ubomi by Siphamandla Ex continued to captivate audiences with its striking deconstructed themes and vibrant storytelling.
Throughout the day, guests navigated winding staircases, uncovering hidden corners filled with conversations, music, and art. The ambient melodies set the tone for an immersive experience that blended sensory delight with meaningful engagement.
Every moment felt alive with creativity, making it a day that lingered in the minds of all who attended.
