On Sunday, April 21st, the Asisebenze Art Atelier (AAA) gallery buzzed with creativity at the second Sip n Paint event of the year. This time, the event was integrated into Sifiso Mkhabela’s solo exhibition "Concrete Cocoon," offering participants a unique opportunity to create their own artwork while surrounded by his compelling pieces.
His presence elevated the experience, as 3everyone was able to get tips, guidance, and feedback directly from the artist.
Conversations sparkled, and a friendly yet motivating atmosphere encouraged a healthy sense of competition to create the best artwork of the day.
A Feast for the senses
Our partners at Artlipse curated an endless supply of beverages, ranging from fine wines to refreshing cocktails and mocktails, keeping the laughter and smiles flowing throughout the event.
Cushions arranged around easels set the stage for casual creativity, while breaks to replenish with finger foods helped participants sustain their energy.
Adding another layer of inspiration, poets Jordi and Nomonde Kamanda delivered impromptu performances between painting sessions, blending poetry with art and leaving the audience moved.
The Sip n Paint collaboration between AAA and Artlipse surpassed expectations, offering a delightful blend of art, food, drinks, and meaningful connections. If you missed out this time, make sure you're among those creating and celebrating at the next event!
And, remember, Sifiso Mkhabela’s "Concrete Cocoon" exhibition has been extended to run to the end of May 2024. Follow our Instagram and Facebook feeds to be sure not to miss events planned for this month.
